Theology and Religion Online Timeline
Explore the history of religious thought through Theology and Religion Online in the timeline below The timeline covers the history of Christian theology from over the past two millennia, focusing on key events from the history of theology and the life of the Church from the Library of Catholic Thought, the T&T Clark Jesus Library and the T&T Clark Theology Library. The timeline also features images related to the study of Jesus and his impact through history and culture, specially selected for the T&T Clark Jesus Library* from the Metropolitan Museum of Art by historian of art and religion Katie Turner (King’s College London).
In addition to covering Christianity, the Timeline features events in Islam, Judaism and Buddhism as well as religion and society in the North American context, drawing on content from Bloomsbury Religion in North America. Timeline entries range from the possible birth date of the Buddha, the death of Muhammad, to the “War on Terror” and the #BlackLivesMatter movement.
